Author - Shaun Jeffery

Born and raised in a small English market town, Shaun Jeffery, would spend his formative years exploring the surrounding countryside.

His most successful book to date: ‘The Village in Revolt: The Story of the Longest Strike in History', is the definite history of the Burston School Strike, or Burston Rebellion as it is also commonly referred to.

His next book, a travel Memoir entitled: ‘Out of Station: The Travels of Belonging’ was originally published in 2020 and ‘Operation Firpo Intruder: An astonishing story of survival by the crew of an RAF Wellington’ 2025. In-between he works as a freelance writer (blockchain and crypto in particular) and publisher, while keeping busy decentralising life. He currently splits his life between the UK and India.

In The Village in Revolt, Shaun Jeffery brings to life The Burston Rebellion that began in 1914 when teachers Tom and Annie Higdon were unjustly dismissed, prompting village children to launch what became the longest strike in history.
