Book.io is looking for new Full Stack Engineers to add to the rapidly growing team. You must obviously be a high-level software engineer who will design, test and implement software applications across a large array of different languages. We are a startup and move quickly so you have to be ok with a fast pace and be self motivated to knock things out. You will be involved in all stages and all areas of software development as well as architecture design, performance evaluation, code review, and internal tool management.

Required knowledge/experience:
* A deep understanding of the full web stack, APIs, authentication, and distributed systems.
* The ability to take a feature idea and implement it across the entire stack.
* At least a basic understanding of blockchain and NFTs.
* A strong appreciation for statically typed languages.

Nice to have:
* Rust and/or Haskell experience
* Understanding of ePub file structuring (Flowable and Fixed Formats)

Book.io is looking for new Mobile Application Engineer to add to the rapidly growing team. You will design, develop, and implement programs for smartphones and other mobile devices. Looking for candidates with both Android and iOS experience.

Required knowledge/experience:

Book.io is looking for a Technical Project Manager to add to the rapidly growing team. We are a startup and move quickly so you have to be ok with a fast pace and be self motivated to knock things out.

Responsibilities
* Develop requirements, timelines, deliverables, and approvals for technical projects to improve transparency and facilitate accountability.
* Provide oversight of multiple projects of varying complexity in support of company expansion.
* Meet with stakeholders to qualify new technology needs and assess the urgency.
* Coordinate requirement changes with upstream and downstream stakeholders.
* Lead coordination of complex projects across internal and external teams and domains to drive execution to schedule.
* Identify risks and develop mitigation plans through metrics and milestones.
* Manage and report progress, schedule, and budget to company leadership.

Work Experience
* 5+ years of technical project management.
* 2+ years in blockchain or deep working knowledge.
* 2+ years of experience working in small to large teams to achieve project objectives and tasks under challenging deadlines, requiring successful collaboration and problem-solving with team members.
* 2+ years of coordinating contractors and outsourced teams.
* Start-up experience and basic HTML/CSS programming skills are a plus.

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training, or Certification
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
* Formal training in Program/Project management methodologies.

Knowledge/Skills
* Demonstrable knowledge of technical project management methodologies and concepts.
* Use of collaboration, project management, and development tools (Confluence, Jira, or similar).
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to partner with the business, influence decisions, and create relationships.
* Must be a driven self-starter that can move projects forward and can work independently.
* Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.
* Must be well organized and able to work well under time constraints.

Book.io is looking for new Director of User Experience to add to the rapidly growing team. This will be a hands-on role and you will be responsible for helping to create the customer journey through online and mobile applications, layout and design, and working with the engineering team to deliver assets. Book.io is ramping up really fast and the need for increased AI-generated book covers is increasing rapidly. You will work with our design and Author Relations teams to ensure that cover illustrations meet our high standards. We are interested in building a large network of illustrators to be able to offer multiple styles. We are a startup and move quickly so you have to be ok with a fast pace and be self motivated to knock things out. This job would be contract-to-hire to start.

Required knowledge/experience:
* Deep knowledge and experience creating AI-based Images (on your desired platforms)
* Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and basic production skills
* Typography experience a plus but not mandatory as you can be paired with a Graphic Designer

Location:
Remote or on-site. The core team is based north of Dallas, TX, so while this position can be remote we will need the candidate to be available during business hours in the central time zone.
