Join the Book.io Team

Stuff.io and Book.io are revolutionary marketplaces that enable true ownership of digital media, such as eBooks, audiobooks, music, and video while empowering creators. Founded in 2020 by Joshua Stone and Ben Illian, Book.io is headquartered in McKinney, Texas, and served as the foundation for what has become a broader mission of Stuff.io. Together, these platforms are transforming how digital content is bought, owned, and even resold.

The idea started with a simple but powerful question: “What if we truly owned our digital books?” That concept evolved into a platform that uses blockchain-backed Decentralized Encrypted Assets (DEAs) to let users buy, read, listen to, watch, and resell digital content just like physical goods. Unlike traditional digital platforms, which only offer licensed access that can be revoked or restricted, Stuff.io and Book.io allow consumers to actually own their digital content. This means eBooks can’t be edited or deleted, music and video files remain accessible forever, and creators retain control of their work while tapping into a thriving secondary marketplace.

Together, Stuff.io and Book.io are building the future of digital media, one where you don’t just access content; you own your Stuff.
