Author - Mark Towse

Mark Towse is an English award-winning horror writer living in Australia. He would sell his soul to the devil or anyone buying if it meant he could write full-time. Alas, he left it very late to begin this journey, penning his first story since primary school at the ripe age of forty-five. Since then, he's been published in over two hundred journals and anthologies, had his work made into full theatrical audio productions on shows such as The No Sleep Podcast, and has penned fifteen novellas, including Mischief Night, Nana, One Last Shindig, 3:33, and Crows. The Sound of Suffering, his second novel (from Wicked House Publishing), was released in February 2025.

Author Mark Towse crafts a tale of the enduring power of friendship, set against the bleak backdrop of a decaying Northern English town. As the sky rains blood and a gaping sinkhole disgorges the townsfolk’s darkest nightmares from the past, Towse’s vivid prose unearths the horror lurking beneath the surface of this dying community, highlighting the resilience of the human spirit in the face of unspeakable terrors.
